Ms. Metanovic earned her Juris Doctor from CUNY School of Law while working full-time in a matrimonial law practice for four years. Attending law school at night while maintaining a demanding full-time position demonstrates the work ethic, determination, and resilience that now benefit the firm’s clients.

The transition from matrimonial paralegal to attorney came naturally, as Ms. Metanovic already possessed extensive hands-on experience in divorce, child custody, child support, and complex family law matters. Her years of practical experience, combined with the rigor of balancing full-time work, law school, and bar exam preparation, developed a unique discipline and drive that she now applies to assisting clients through highly contested matrimonial disputes.

During law school, Ms. Metanovic focused on domestic violence advocacy through the Courtroom Advocates Project, where she prepared Family Offense Petitions and advocated before a Family Court judge under attorney supervision. This experience deepened her courtroom confidence and strengthened her commitment to helping individuals during some of the most difficult times in their lives.

Prior to entering the legal field, Ms. Metanovic worked for a private investigator specializing in intellectual property theft and also interned with the Queens District Attorney’s Office in the Narcotics Investigation Bureau. These experiences helped develop a unique investigative skill set that is invaluable when building cases, analyzing facts, and uncovering critical evidence.

Ms. Metanovic earned her Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics in 2016 and her Master of Arts in Public Administration in 2017 from St. John’s University. She is also fluent in Serbo-Croatian, allowing her to assist a broader range of clients with clarity and compassion.
